Selling a beautiful Browning model 1886 high grade rifle with octagon barrel. The caliber is .45-70 serial#02513pt697.
This is a commemorative rifle and is 1 of 3000 made. It has elk engraving on one side of the receiver and a bison on the other. The wood is absolutely beautiful. I have several of these Browning 1886 rifles and this has the nicest wood. It is nicely figured and has a highly polished finish in which you can see your reflection. The engraving is excellent and signed by T Naka.. I bought this gun from a collector. He claimed it was never fired, but I have no way to verify that. I can say that the gun is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. The pictures don't do it any justice. I recently purchased a few weatherby custom rifles and therefore have decided to sell a couple of my guns in order to justify the purchase. The price is $2900.
