Description:
Many concider the Sauer side cocking drilling the very best of drillings. This is a side lock . But in a rare double rifle configuration .
Bushed removable firing pins for both rifle barrels.
True side locks with pointer style cocking indicators
Left side cocking lever to activate bottom barrel. 16 ga in this case
Adjustable folding tang peep sight passing through the safety slide.
Non setting double trigers.
Very delicate scroll engraving over 70% of the metal surfaces.
Vivid color case in protected areas including the well of the action. See photo's
Stocks:
That classic honey colored european walnut . The wood has been corretly finished and the checkering cleaned . There are no noticable cracks but are a couple dents present on the forend.
The stock features horn plate with some repaired insect damage
There is a cartridge trap on the toe line with four cartridge holes and matching scroll engraving
The steel grip cap is engraved as well with some lite pitting around the outer edges.
The steel trigger bow is nicly engraved and is blued in the traditional manner.
Barrels :
26" Krupp Stahl barrels with J.P. Sauer & Sohn Suhl in each .
Very good to excellant heavy German style rifling in each barrel
Excellant 16 ga. smooth shotgun bore with no visable defects.
Rifle bores measure .430 groove . Must German sporting arms were desiganated as .43 caliber but vary a great deal.
Choke is .010/ IC
The 11 mm chambers accept a parent case based on. 348 Winchester.
Extractor only
Barrel sights include on standing and one folded with no scope mounts present.
