Description:
Serial #42L1296, .303 British, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This Long Branch-made, 1943 dated rifle has retained about 92-95% of the original blue finish with only some mild silvering and fading at the muzzle, on the high points and projections, as well as along the bearing surfaces of the non-matching bolt (flaked Suncorite is present on the handle). A milled, adjustable rear sight is fitted and there is no import stamp present. The walnut stock and furniture are in very good condition with numerous minor handling marks and small surface blemishes marring the otherwise fine original military oil finish. A single non-matching numbered magazine is included which is in identical condition. This is a splendid example of a Canadian No. 4 rifle, and rates fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
