This Savage Model 99T Featherweight is a caliber .300 Savage. Bluing is abt 90 -95% w/somevery light patina.
Stock is a checkered walnut w/a capped pistol grip & abt 90 -95%.( There is a very light Hairline crack justt ro the
rear of the receiver - quite common for these .300 cal type Savages back then).The forearm is nicely checkered is a T Type
w/a Beaver Tail Shape & abt 98%. It is all original and the action is very smooth. The barrel is very nice also
w/abt 95-97% bluing.
The receiver features a cocking pin which is both a safety feature and apprses the shooter of a ready to fire
action. I know of no other riifle mfg that offered this feature. The lever also has a unique sliding safety that
virtually locks the firearm. (To me Savage was always ahead of the other firearms manufacturers w/new innovations
regarding firearms.)
A semi-buckhon style rear sight and the front sight is a raised ramp w/a silver bead. Lever case coloring is at abt 90 %.
No sling studs and not tapped for a scope. All Original and mfg in 1936. Butt plate is ribbed w/"SVG Crest".
