Description:
This is a really nice Colt Lightning Sheriffs Model that retains an original box, this example is high condition retaining approximately 88-90% nickel. The loss area is on the cylinder which can be seen in the photograph. The grips are excellent. Nitre blue can be seen on the trigger, hammer, and screws. 3 1/2” barrel. This example letters as being shipped to Montgomery Ward & Co, Chicago Illinois. Shipped on. May 11, 1893. Factory letter confirms all features. Mechanically works well. The original box is in good condition overall. It’s not mint but surely better then a couple others I’ve seen. I’d say it’s maybe a little better then average. This is a really nice Lightning that has an original box that is extremely difficult to find in its own right. Shipping is $25 plus actual insurance.
