This US Mfg Eddystone serial No. 515XXX was produced abt " 4 -18" (1918) according to the barrel stamp. 
Cal 30-06. It has all of the correct features for an "U. S. Eddystone" w/Type 1 Rear Sight Leaf and  Flip up rail 
for up to 2200 yds and w/Shroulded Ears. These Rear combination peep and rail sights  were considered 
verry accurate. The Gun Metal is abt 98% w/very little wear . The bolt, receiver & Rear Sight have "E" markings.
The barrel Bore is normal w/a distinct rifling and measures "1". The action is very smooth. 
The buttstock is a Medium brown Walnut w/some very light & normal rack rash, The fore arms are
normal w/some light markings & very smooth on the uppers. This Eddystone comes w/a ""No Buck L"
Patented - "7-21-14 " Original style World War I Sling.
The bolt  & side receiver have additional proof markings w/a noprmal Butt Plate and Trap Door.
There are no disappointments w/these Eddystones, they are a very accurate and reliable firearm.
