*** SOLD *** Little used Merkel 147EL with desirable 30” barrels and long length of pull. Highly figured European stock and forearm. Auto ejectors and single selective trigger. Game Scene engraved and signed by Bettina Lenk. Comes with original box, blank warranty card, and owner’s manual. Weighs 6lbs 10oz. *** The 30” barrels are chambered for 2-3/4” an3” shotshells. They are topped by a raised solid crosshatched rib with a white front bead. The right barrel is bored 0.632 and has a constriction of 0.004 for Skeet choke. The left barrel is bored 0.628 with a constriction of 0.008 for Improved Cylinder choke. Bluing is perfect. Bores are shiny. Ideal combination for upland game like quail, grouse and woodcock. Good for clays too. *** The pistol grip stock and splinter forearm are made of highly figured European walnut. Checkering is like new. Stock dimensions are 15” over a ¾” recoil pad by 1-3/8” by 2-3/8”. Cast off for the righthand shot. Comes with the original factory buttplate and middle beads. *** These 147EL’s are beautiful and great handling guns. Pretty rare to find one with a 30” barrels and a long stock.
