Winchester Model 70 SN# 232170 Made in 1952. Up for sale is a very clean Model 70 chambered in the popular .270 Win. cartridge. This Winchester represents the changed in stock design that was introduced in 1952 with addition of the high comb stock to the lineup of Winchester hunting rifles. All wood finish and metal blue is factory original. Some slight muzzle blue wear and silver to the sharp edges of the magazine cover help to display the excellent condition of this nice rifle. In it's early days, there would have been a scope mounted on this rifle as there is a set of very early Refield scope bases included. Chamber and bore look clean and rifling is sharp. Please add 40.00 freight and insurance. No Calif. buyers please.
