Description:
Offered is an excellent Collath drilling 16 Ga. over caliber 9.3X65. Included is a box of cartridge cases in that caliber. The barrel blue is about 90% thinning in places and dulling from age. The wood shows wear but is solid without cracks or breaks. The horn trigger guard is solid but has a repaired break at the base (see pictures). The engraving is superb and in my opinion, has not been equaled since that period. Mechanically excellent The rifle bore is strong with very good rifling. The shotgun bores are cloudy with some light pitting however, they pattern very well with extra full chokes. The included pictures were fired from 30yds (right barrel) and 40 yds (left barrel). Great for turkey and Chukar but I found it a little tight for Grouse. It chambers 2 3/4"shells but I use 2 1/2" and don't recommend the larger. Antique so no paper work required. Actual shipping cost but not to exceed $50.
