Description:
Springfield Model 1873 Rifle. This has been my shooter 45-70 trapdoor. Most of the original blue finish has worn off except for the lock plate. that has some blue left. The action is tight, the lock works perfect. It has a nice crisp trigger pull. The bore is bright and shinny. Rifling is sharp! The gun ejects spent cases perfect! The ramrod is original. The stock has been rubbed with linseed oil. There is a small age crack behind the action. I have shot my 45-70 handloads out of many times. Have never shot blackpowder out of it. This rifle is not a collector grade gun! But no basement home gunsmith has altered the gun. It is all original! But a great shooter for a fair price! ( SOLD Pending Arrival of $$$$ )
