Description:
The Pettingill is a rather strange revolver being a percussion cap revolver in double action only. Caliber 31. Serial number 77. It has a 4-1/2 inch octagon barrel and a 6-shot cylinder. Overall metal show its age having a pleasing antique grey /brown color. Metal is nice and smooth with light freking but no real pitting. The rosewood grips are VG+ cond. A very unique revolver and a good example of the variations tried on these early hand guns.
