SOLD! SOLD! WAITING FOR PAYMENT Colt SAA 1st gen 4-3/4" x 38 WCF, 233XXX serial range. Also known as the 38-40. This gun was mfg. in 1902. Colt reports the gun was shipped to Dallas Texas that same year. I will include the letter in this sale. Fine action with all the "clicks on the hammer and about a 7 (that's conservative, most people would call it an 8) bore as rated on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. All original as far as I can tell except for the rose wood grips. The rose wood grips appear to have been on the pistol for quite a long time. All matching numbers. The two line barrel address is still clearly present as are the serial numbers and other markings. Overall the metal is just a grayish-silver-brown thin patina. This Colt has been sitting in my safe for over 36 years. I have never fired it. Please see all of the photos included and contact me with any questions.
