Description:
Simson Meisterwerk two barrel set 12/16GA. Made in Suhl, Germany in 1951 to the highest standards. Ivory inlays of oak leaves, scroll and birds. Full coverage engraved receiver with game scenes and gold animals. Carved stock with game scenes. Sideplated boxlock with cocking indicators and ejectors. Each barrel set has its own forend. Forend iron and barrel lump are marked with a "12" or "16". Sideclips and Greener style third fastener. Barrels for the 12 gauge are 29 1/4", while the 16 gauge is 28 1/4". The weight of the gun is 7 LBS 2 1/4 OZ with either barrel set. Gun is cased in a German leather case made by Akah. Akah is a high end German case maker with some cases in excess of $2K. Shipping is $150.
Gun does not appear to have been used. This gun belongs in a museum!
