Description:
Original U.S. Cavalry Carbine Sling marked Rock ISland Arsenal. Hook marked O.B. North. Back of brass buckle marked U.S. Leather belt is 50 inches long X 2-1/2" wide. According to the U.S. Cavalry Museum in Gettysburg, they did a study of carbine slings in the 1970's and found at least 20 all different lengths show troops modified the slings to fit their heights. Leather has light crazing and cracking. RARE.
