THIS 1873 (--LOST AND FORGOTTEN--) WAS BOUGHT WITH A WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 30 YEARS AGO ( the 1876 is listed for sale under Winchester Model 1876)
AT THE CODY WYOMING GUN SHOW (ABOUT 1991) FROM A LOCAL COWBOY ,THAT I NEW,AND BOUGHT FROM BEFORE
THIS MODEL 1873 HE SAID WAS HANDED DOWN TO HIM,,,HE WAS TOLD IT CAME FROM AROUND THAT AREA OF WYOMING
i guess by talking with him at the time,,it was known that people found (dug ups) now and then
i was very interested in the history,,that,s why i bought them,,and paid more i guess than anyone at the show
at the time i bought them,,i had no idea what they were worth then,,and still do not know now,(i guess i will find out)
i have never offered them for sale,,,they have been in my collection,,,at my age it is time to sell things off
