A very good little two-inch boxlock non-ejector by B. Halliday, built circa 1940's. The barrels are 28" with 2" chambers and very good bores, choked .003/.033 (about skeet/full). The rib is engraved: B. HALLIDAY & CO. 63. CANNON ST. LONDON. E.C. and the tubes are engraved: FOR 2 INCH CASE ONLY and THE 20TH CENTURY GUN. The receiver has the maker's name in a flowing banner surrounded by simple border and scroll engraving. There are traces of case colors still present. The action locks up tight. The fore-end has an Anson push-rod release. The lightly figured stock measures 1 5/8" x 2 1/8" x 14 5/8" with cast off. The stock was originally shortened by 1 1/2" (likely for a young shooter), and the original piece was later added. It was done very well. The weight is 5 lbs 5 oz. A very nice double for the aficionado of 2 inch guns.
