Description:
At offer is a Fine 1867 Danish Rolling Block that retains a great deal of original blue, albeit faded in areas, a beautiful fiddleback walnut stock with a serial number matching the rifle and a near mint bore.  The stock has two small almost hairline cracks forward of the action on the bottom The tang is dated just behind Kjobenhavns Toihuus, 1883.  I have posted 35 pictures to best display the quality of this piece so please look closely at all of them.
A Remington design for manufacture in Denmark at the Copenhagen arsenal.  The Danish model first utilized the 11.7x51R  rimfire cartridge and that stayed in service well into the smokeless era.. In 1896 they were withdrawn from infantry service, converted to centerfire cartridge and issued to coast and fortress artillerymen. At that time the much longer rear ladder sight was also fitted to the rifles.

Please look closely at all the photos as they are a very important part of the description and you are purchasing what is pictured.
