Description:
Solidly shooter grade condition. The metal has been reblued at least once; for sure. The evidence being pretty evident in the blued pitting where rust used to be, softened edges on the receiver, and thinned markings. The proof marks on the receiver are nearly gone and the one on the barrel is badly faded. The area of the lever around the trigger looks to have the start of rust again; but this might be halted with some surface oil and care. The stock has been refinished and in several areas doesn't meet flush with the metal. The refinish job on the stock-while clearly not done by an expert-is better than some that may be found. Sources indicate this example was built in 1912. .30 WCF
