Description:
1935 manufactured Winchester Model 42 .410 with 28" barrel. This Model 42 is an very good original condition and features a 28" barrel, 3" chamber, checkered walnut forend, straight checkered walnut stock, silver front bead, and fixed FULL choke. This Model 42 retains much of its original blue finish across the entirety of the shotgun but does show signs of high edge wear, various scattered handling marks, and light freckling on either side of the reciever. Both the forend and stock are in very good condition for their age and both show scattered handling marks, light pressure dents, and spots of finish thinning. The stock has had one small repair on the right side where it meets the receiver and also has one small 1/2" hairline crack at the top of the wrist. This small crack does not impede the integrity of the stock in anyway. The bore is bright, with no signs of imperfections or erosion, and the action locks up tight. All mechanical aspects of this Model 42 function 100%. This Model 42 would make an excellent addition to any Winchester collection or an great field gun.
