Description:
This is a quite nice old Stevens Favorite from the years of 1915-1935. This single shot 22 rifle incorporates a pivoting or swinging block design, also commonly refered to as a rolling block. This is a take down rifle with a 24" octagon barrel that has a very good bore and strong rifling. The original blue would rate 90% or better on the barrel, and still shows light case color on the receiver. All script and other identifying marks are sharp and clear. The rear barrel sight is the original, but the front has been upgraded at some point to a Marble 37W. The wood stocks look to have the original finish, with no repairs. However there a small dry crack near the butt, that does not extend through to the other side (pic. 13). The original butt plate is intact and in nice shape. Action works as it should. All in all a very good example of this model to add to your collection, or take out to the field.
