SOLD *********************Colt Junior Colt Pocket Model .22 short caliber. 21/4 inch barrel, exposed, rounded spur hammer, 6 round magazine, checkered walnut grips, no slide stop, no grip safety, manual thumb safety on the left side is also slide lock used for disassembly, push button magazine release button on left grip panel at bottom, very low recoil, includes magazine disconnect safety feature (magazine must be inserted in the gun in order to pull the trigger). Includes a beavertail on the top of the grip to protect the firing hand from "slide bite". Sometimes referred to as a "mouse gun". This is a single action only gun. The hammer must be pulled back for the first shot. Simple "blowback" action. Designed for concealed carry. Produced between 1958 and 1968. The 1968 Gun Control Act stopped guns of this size from being imported, so production in Spain was stopped at that time. Originally produced only in .25 ACP caliber. In 1959, the .22 short caliber was added. Approximately 40,000 were made. This gun was made in 1962. Serial number = 20,386CC. Serial number on the top of the slide matches the serial number on the frame. The "CC" suffix to the serial number indicates the gun was made in Spain by the Astra Unceta Cia Company under license from Colt. This is the same gun as the Astra Model 2,000 Cub with plastic grips that was sold in Europe. One original Colt magazine included.
