Description:
I have quoted Comprehensive Guide - M1 Carbine author Roger Larson from page 566 about my rifles rarity.                              Still having a need for more firearms for WWII the production was ramped up when certain parts supplies were dwindling.  Other U.S. Ordanance contractors were approved to help supply the needed parts.  The rifle I am selling here has receiver # 4362840 which has a U stamped on the receiver  bevel behind the serial number.  The manufacturer of 50,000 of these receivers was Union Switch & Signal.  Also, VERY FEW low wood stocks, adjustable rear sights, and type 2 barrel bands have been documented on original NPM carbines.  This is likely one of that VERY FEW built as such.  My 3rd Production carbine looks the same as the one on page 560 of Larson's book.
Based on the condition of my M1 Carbine it probably experienced little or no battle action.  All of the parts including the stock are 100% Correct for the date, serial number, production block, type, and manufacturer.  All of the parts that required Ordnance Department identification stampings are correctly stamped and any that were not I.D. stamped have been inspected by me to be correct based upon either measurements or pictures from Roger Larson's book to validate.
The low wood stock is of dark walnut and has the correct sling well stamping of TRIMBLE TN.  The cartouche wheel is NPM design and the NPM FJA inside the box is correct.  The hand guard has a small TN stamped on the underside flat surface.  There are no cracks, detectible dents, cracks, or repairs in the stock.  I have pictured most of these features.  The recoil plate is stamped PN and the butt plate is correctly patterned for an NPM.
All of the metal parts are correct and have no rust or corrosion.  The Underwood barrel dated 1-44 is correct.  The barrel is also free of any sign of a bayonet lug being mounted.  Take a look at the picture of the bore; very pronounced rifling and lands.  The remainder of the metal parts have the same original blueing coloration.  NPM used a unique letter and number I.D. stamping on the operating slide, bolt, and trigger housing; these are correct.  Another part not stamped very often is the type 3 push safety stamped SN on my rifle.
I don't want to bore you with the I.D. of all the parts.  I have two different types of data sheets that spell out all of the pertinent items to validate their authenticity.  I also have 157 photos of about every part of this rifle.  I can email you pictures of any parts you would like a closer look at.
My carbine comes with two USGI original 15 round magazines stamped MN and an original dual magazine buttt stock pouch.  The sling is also an original but may have had the snap replaced.  I included a high quality reproduction zippered canvass carry case and M1 Carbine field manual.
The sale of this rifle must be in compliance with all state and federal firearms transaction and shipping regulations.  I will ship it free to the valid FFL of you choice FREE anywhere within the contiguous 48 United States the laws allow.  I will also ship this rifle to a valid C&R Licensee under the same conditions. This rifle has been disassembled, inspected for condition of all the parts, and test fired and found to be fully functional, however there are no expressed or implied warranty that accompanies.
Accepted method of payment is USPS Money Orders, wired funds to my bank, or personal check I have discretely approved.
