Manufactured in 1897, this Colt SAA Frontier Six Shooter revolver actually could have seen Old West usage. The particular revolver is chambered for the very desirable .44-40 cartridge and has \"COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER\" stamped on the left side of the barrel. The frame is of the transverse cylinder pin variety, but preceeded the smokeless powder guarantee by Colt which came a few years later. The top of the barrel is marked \"COLT‚‚S PT. F. A. MFG CO/ HARTFORD CT. U. S. A.\" and the left side of the frame has the two line, three patent date marking followed by the circled Rampant Colt.
