Description:
Sharps rifles were a series of large bore single shot rifles beginning with a design by Christian Sharps in 1848, and were produced through 1881. Famous for their long range accuracy, Sharps rifles were one of the few designs to successfully transition to metallic cartridges. They became a favorite among target shooters and buffalo hunters, and were used by the US Army for a number of years. This modern day reproduction from Italian fine gun maker Davide Pedersoli is a historically accurate rifle produced with modern metallurgy and manufacturing processes. The result is a beautiful firearm with fine attention to fit and finish that is also supremely accurate. Pedersoli rifles are world-famous for authenticity, reliability and precision accuracy. The 1874 Sporting No 3 has a 32" octagonal barrel, adjustable sights, and a double-set trigger. This rifle is in excellent condition. .45-70 Government
