Description:
This custom Mauser 98 was built by world-famous gunsmith J.K. Cloward on a Mauser 98 military action. Cloward was known for the beauty and accuracy of the rifles he built. It has a beautiful high-grade walnut Mannlicher stock with Cloward's signature double-Schnabel checkered fore end. It has a steel grip plate and steel Niedner-style checkered butt-plate. The rear sight is adjustable, while the front sight has a flip-over white bead that goes over a smaller gold bead. The bolt handle is checkered. The rifle is in excellent condition. There is some very minor wear in the bluing of the bolt handle and the trigger guard. There are some very minor handling dings in the walnut buttstock. 7x57 Mauser
