Sterling silver collar with Birmingham hallmarks for 1898 encloses a functioning compass with paper dial, inner turned bone collar and hallmark sterling silver sleeve having applied shield engraved with the names of the Bow, No. 2, No. 3, STER & COX on hard maple shaft with aniline stained and brass ferrule.
