Description:
.577 Snider caliber. 36 1/2 inch round barrel with a near very good bore showing some light pitting with strong rifling. Barrel is an overall a soft brown patina. Breechblock marked “Snider Patent” with intertwined “LAC” stamping atop the block. The lockplate is 1860 dated and “LA Co.” marked with Royal cypher at the rear. English walnut buttstock has been shortened to just ahead of the rear band and there is no cleaning rod present. Brass trigger guard and buttplate.
