"Serial number 65493. Made in 1892. 40-65 caliber with a 26" barrel. Metal is nice and sharp with a light brown to gray patina. Wood is very good. The top of the barrel by the caliber marking is marked “W. F. Sheard/ Livingston, Mont" William Sheard was a gunsmith and dealer of the area and marked guns that he sold. This gun comes with a factory letter. The letter lists the caliber as 40-60, but this is a common mistake found in the records.
