Description:
Antique, Soldier Style 1860 Civil War Era Child/Boys Black Leather Boots. Each Boot Measures: 9" Tall x 6 1/2" Long from toe to heal. A wonderful rare old pair of boots from the war years in vintage design and construction. They have the boot straps still attached and standing out of the tops. I can bet that a very young soldier used those straps to pull up his boots. A rare addition to your Civil War Collection. Attractive with a nice age patina and good evidence of period use showing the wear of a well loved possession. The soles were constructed with square nails and wooden pegs. The inside side seam has had the stitching pull out on the upper shaft of the left boot, but otherwise they display very nicely.  Perhaps the little soldier that wore these saw his Daddy march  of to battle. Other items pictured are not included.
