Louis Gerteis Custom Percussion Target Rifle in .45 Cal. Mfg. 1855-1859. German immigrant who built custom guns in New Orleans 1855-1885 and may have built Sniper Rifles for Confederate Forces early in the Civil War. LOP 13 3/4". 31 1/2" Heavy #3 Octagon Barrel with an EXCELLENT Bore for it's age with STRONG RIFLING. Both the Blued Metal and Walnut Stock have been FULLY RESTORED by SHOOTER'S EXCHANGE and LOOK GREAT. Engraved Receiver and Trigger Guard / Assembly . Double Set Triggers. Tang Sight marked M.S.A Co.
