Description:
This is a model 74 Winchester built in 1948, in 22 LR caiiber. This gun is quite nice, with the exception of a small chip at the toe. These rifles load through the butt stock from a port on the side, and a tube that extends to the butt plate. The bore of the 22" barrel is in excellent shape, and the script,original blue, and sight package are correct and in great shape as well. The walnut stock has original factory finish, with numerous small marks, and the small chip missing from the toe ( pic. 4 & 13 ). The classic model 74 was built in either 22 short, or 22 LR, and produced from 1939-1956.
