Description:
The 2022 has an octagon barrel that can be removed with a knurled nut just in front of the bolt. This allows the firearm to be taken down. Yep. It's a takedown rifle much like the Ruger 10/22 TD and the Henry AR-7. There's a small button behind the trigger guard that allows the bolt and the entire enclosed trigger group to be removed. The barrel can then be taken off. It all shrinks down to about 18" and fits into a backpack. The trigger pull is just under 4lbs and breaks like a carrot.
The rear sight is adjustable and has a small notch. The front sight post is not adjustable and a solid black blade. The magazine is an ALMOST exact duplicate of a 10rd Ruger 10/22 magazine, which lead some people to believe why the rifle was only made for such a short period of time. It's believed the lack of permits and licenses to build firearms as well as patent problems with Ruger lead to the 2022's downfall.
The gun is made almost entirely from plastic parts, the barrel is even just a plastic shroud around a .22 caliber liner. They are super lightweight. This rifle appears unfired since leaving the factory.
