Extraordinary Winchester 70 in ultra rare 300 Savage caliber! S/N 71*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1947. This is the rarest caliber of all Model 70s with only 362 produced between 1947-1954. Adding to its extreme rarity is the fact that it is among the short run of transition era rifles with unique features such as the "clam shell" aka "rabbit's foot safety" and clover leaf tang. This beautiful and rare rifle is in excellent condition throughout showing 98% original finishes with just a few scattered light handling marks. 24" Standard weight Barrel. The bore is excellent and all mechanical functions are smooth and proper as expected.
