This Springfield M-1 Garand is an Earley War & has a mfg date of 2/42" & features all of the correct component parts for this period.
The gun metal is a parkerized olive tone gray & matches throughout. The buttstock is a dark walnut w/o any dings, scratches or ctacks.
There are acartouches of "SA/GHS w/an Early Type Cross Cannon (Large)". There is a circled Serife "P" on the grip & behind the trigger hsg.
It also has matching the upper & lower hanguards. It has ,also a rare uncut operating rod. The bore is shiney w/good rifling and measures
less than "1"
