"U.S. Model 1863 Civil War Zouave .58 caliber rifle. In fine condition. 33" Round barrel with a good bore and wear near the chamber. Seven-groove rifling. Lock and barrel are dated “1863". Approximately 95% blue with some spotting and freckling. The case-hardened lock is fine with some edge patina. Stock is fine with two strong cartouches and no cracks or chips. Brass furniture is fine. The spare nipple is in the patch box. The action functions correctly. This is a key arm for any Civil War collection.
