Description:
This is a tube fed model 77 in 22 LR. This example is in near mint condition overall, and obviously well cared for over the years. This model was built from 1955-1963 to replace the model 63, due mainly to the high cost to produce the model 63. This particular rifle has the less encountered bolt hold, to keep the chamber open. By pushing down on the pin on top of the receiver, it locks the bolt open. All finishes on the stock are original, with no damage or repairs, the stock fits proud to the butt plate, which is in great shape as well. She has nice deep factory blue on all the metal surfaces. All script and proof marks are crisp and clear on the 22" barrel with a mint bore, and original sight package intact. Collector quality condition!!
