PORTER USA PROVENANCE. U.S. Model 1911 in the 198xxx serial range shipped to Springfield Armory in 1917. Original as re-blued overall with exception of the magazine which is post WW2. Good overall and in working order. Fine bore with good rifling. Major General Porter was graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (1909) serving first in the Navy and then the U.S. Army Chemical Warfare Service after WW1 in 1921.
