Listing a old original Winchester 1886 rifle , octagon 26" barrel , chambered in the 40/65, it's never been sanded or polished or what have you in the time I've owned it and looks like never before either. sn 75472 puts the old gal at 128 years old , born in 1893. I bought two from a estate in British Columbia years back.this being the smaller of the two. I don't shoot it like I use to , a very accurate rifle , bore is nice as is the rifling . Wood shows it's been used but not overly abused, expected of an antique rifle unless your into redone rifles or safe queens. I never was, I've the dies and ammunition that I might possibly part with if one was to buy her. I wanted to take a buck with it this season but so far only thing I've got is cold feet. I accept postal money orders or cashiers check, I need a FFL or your C&R to ship to even if it is antique it's going to be shipped through the post office , insured, priority .only way I ship. I think the only thing not original is the rear sight elevator, I think it was missing and I stuck one in there.
