Description:
This Frank Wesson Large Frame Superposed pistol has a sliding Dirk mounted on the barrel pivot axis. Approx. 2000 were made in the 1860’s. This early example is absent any markings, with the exception of the serial number “301” stamped on the frame under the left grip.
Even though a large caliber, (.41) it remained a short-range weapon. Its effectiveness was limited by the small amount of black powder that could be loaded into the short case. The sliding dirk was hoped to be a reliable backup.
Today we debate the merits of 16 rounds of 9mm in a semi-automatic pistol with laser sights.
It is presented in a cherry wood case complemented with an 1869 dated 5 Cent coin, a nice presentation touch.
This is an unusual firearm and an outstanding addition to any S&W Collection. Early serial number 301. .41 Rim. with a 3” barrel. ANTIQUE

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged. If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made. Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded. All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
PAYMENT:
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 3% processing fee. For Visa and MasterCard orders please provide the account number, code number, expiration date, name on card, phone number and card billing address. This information can be phoned in, or E-Mailed. All orders must be paid in advance, C.O.D. orders are not accepted. Checks, both Bank and Personal must clear before the order will be shipped, usually a 2 week delay.
SALES TAX:
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyers responsibility.
