Description:
Serial #1030359, 22 LR, 5 1/2" barrel with an excellent bore. This is the High-Standard W-101 series Double-Nine revolver featuring both double and single action with the look and feel of Western style guns manufactured from 1958 to 1970. The metal surfaces of this early gun retain virtually all 98-99% original nickel plate with light clouding present on the grip frame, frame, cylinder, and the faux ejector rod housing in addition to scattered handling marks. The blue finish on the face of the trigger shows light wear from use but the front and rear sight retain full blue. The hammer has strong case-hardened colors with scattered light oxidation stains. The black synthetic factory grips with silver High Standard medallions rate very good to excellent showing light handling marks. This revolver features the early style ejector rod that is not spring loaded. Although the gun still times and locks up correctly the mechanism allows the cylinder to rotate clockwise when at rest (it locks up solid during firing sequence) and may need attention. It also includes the original box that is correctly end labeled and numbered to the gun, a pair of faux mother-of-pearl grips and manual. FFL or C&R
