Description:
Serial #4843, .43 Spanish, 36" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome, arsenal refinished rifle built on the large No. 1 action and has crisp Remington company markings on the top tang. The barrel has 95-97% of the arsenal-added blue remaining with some mild freckling and fading at the muzzle, some thin scratches on either side near the nosecap, and gray fading on the breech facets. The original Argentine markings on the top breech facet are no longer legible, although a few individual letters can still be seen. The receiver has arsenal-applied blue throughout, with some areas along the edges of the tangs that have turned purple over time. The walnut forend and buttstock are in fine condition with minor handling and tool marks under the added military oil finish. The action itself is tight and functions flawlessly, and the rifle comes with a correct ramrod. This is a fine, arsenal refinished Argentine Rolling Block overall. Antique
