Description:
Serial #242620, .22 S-L-LR, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1956-made rifle that has retained 92-95% of the original blue finish with some very mild silvering along the edges and bearing surfaces, as well as faint scratches along the sides and top of the receiver. There is some additional gray fading along the magazine tube and sides of the barrel from the slide. The walnut forend and buttstock are in very good shape with numerous minor handling marks and surface blemishes marring the original varnish. There are some very minor splits starting at the receiver. The checkered steel buttplate has some gray fading at the heel and toe, and some flattening of the points, but is otherwise in fine shape. The gun is a little finicky to go together and the takedown bolt looks slightly bent. The gun has to be put together perfectly to function. This is a fine example of a desirable slide-action .22 Winchester, and would make a great addition to a collection. FFL or C&R
