As a 1961 gun this FW or 99F in hard to find and most sought after .308 Winchester (featherweight) incorporates the best of the old and the (not so) new: It still retains the correct steel butt plate, handsome hand checkered stocks, brass counter (cartridge counter) and rotary mag, case colored lever with date (m stamped boss), gold trigger and the better upper tang safety vs the earlier lever safety and polished (engine turned) bolt
The handsome American Walnut Stocks set DOES NOT HAVE THE OFTEN FOUND CRACK OR REPAIR AT THE UPPER TANG
It has oversized sling swivels and some wood was relieved to accept these. Please note this and see pics. We have an exceptional stock man who could probably make these dissapear .....cost would be under $ 200.00 if someone so desires
