Description:
"Dutch Flintlock Infantry Musket, Circa 1760. Overall all length is 54¾". The octagon to round barrel is 39½". The approximately .75 caliber smooth-bore barrel has a good bore. The barrel has two wedding bands, the first approximately 12½" forward of the breech, and the second at approximately 14½". Metal has a smooth gray brown patina. There are no marks in the lock or barrel. The brass furniture is good with the side plate screw having a crack ½" from the front screw. The stock is good with a small stress crack forward of the front side plate screw. Stock has initials (?) on the left side forward on the butt plate, a recessed cheekpiece, and “292" stamped below the left side plate. The swivels and ramrod are present. The action functions correctly. There is little to no erosion in the touchhole area. This is a much better than average example of an early Dutch musket. Don’t miss this one! $3750.00
