Description:
*LAST CHANCE TO BUY AT A GREAT PRICE!
For sale in a very nice T. Bland & Sons 12 bore Sidelock English Double Serial number 15766 places the completion date between 1900 and 1901. The barrels are 28".  The bores are mirror bright with no pitting or marks.  The rib is inscribed “T. Bland & Sons 3 King William Street Strand London”  At one time, T Bland
occupied 2, 3, 4 & 5 King William Street, which is now a historical area of London.  2 1/2” chambers with nitro proofed barrels.  I have only used RST, or William, Larkin and More shotgun shells when fired and recommend buyers to do the same.  The Sidelocks are nicely engraved with scenes of Woodcocks or Pheasants.  The metal is bright and shiny with no marks or scratches. The underside of the receiver is silvered and blued.  The trigger guard has a field
Spaniel engraved with more engraving on the tang.  The breech lever is straight on and the guns locks up like a vault, no movement whatsoever. There is also engraving on the fences running down to the safety, which functions as should.  The stock dimensions are: DAH 2 3/4”, DAC 1 5/8”, LOP 14”.  The stock itself is in very nice shape with no splits or cracks, almost no scratches and a minor ding at the rear less than 1/8”  The forearm has a Deeley Edge release with a horn insert at the tip as well as scroll engraving.  Checkering at wrist and forearm is crisp.  This is a non ejector.  There are no buggered screws.  All in all a very nice, well cared for English Double at a very reasonable price of $1900.00 plus shipping.

Thomas Bland & Sons were founded in 1840 in Birmingham and expanded to 106 Strand in London about 1872.  In 1900 they moved to 2-3 King William Street, Strand in London.  They are technically still in business in the U.S.A. under another name, Glen Baker of Benton Pennsylvania.  The guns Bland  made in the early 20th century were known to be very well made and respected doubles.  The guns are still coveted today and bring high prices at .

This Bland will ship to your C&R FFL or to a dealer of your choice.  A copy of the FFL should be mailed along with the payment.  Guns are usually shipped UPS unless buyer chooses otherwise.  I ship all guns insured.  Payment preferred is USPS postal money order.  I do not accept credit cards.  Buyers can also use ZELLE for funds transfer.
