Umm.....not this one.
this is a 36-1 - a Chiefs Special with a 3" heavy barrel
in Nickel
the nickel is mostly very good - there's no yellowing or flaking.
But there are spots on both sides that are gouged off.
Again, see photos and judge for yourself.
this gun was carried A LOT by a small town Chief of Police. He got the gun new when he became Chief and carried it daily for 13more years (and even after he retired)
serial number dates it to 1977
it has diamond grips which are obviously not original - and they're scuffed (see photos) - but that's how it came to us and we're not going to change it. No idea why he changed them but he must have liked them on there and who are we to judge?
Comes in a non-original S&W blue box
mechanically this gun is absolutely solid and locks up tight.
It's a great shooter or carry gun and it might still rate as 90%+
But it's no show pony in its current cosmetic condition.
