L. Santina Bernardelli, Frascio, Italy 20 Gauge sidelock built in 1972 with 26 " IC / M Boehler Steel ejector barrels with a raised solid rib with white mid and front beads. Excellent bores measuring .632 on the right and .633 on the left. Chokes measure .015 right and .024 left. Chambers are 3" and so proved. Bar action sidelock with bushed strikers retains 95% original case colors and has 85% coverage floral and scroll engraving. Trigger guard with 96% original blue. Stocked in a nice piece of European Walnut with pleasing fiddleback figure. 28 LPI checkering and inlayed ebony drop points. Vacant stock oval at the toe. Original stock finish remains at 97% LOP is 14 1/2" over a 5/8" factory pad. DAC - 1 1/2" DAH - 2 " Wt - 6lb 6oz
Santina Bernardelli is one of the best of the various Bernardelli gunmakers although infrequently seen in the U.S. This is a delightful upland game gun with Italian quality at the price of a Spanish sidelock. Great value.
