Description:
Remington Rolling Block Short barrel rifle. (SOLD) Cal. 43 Egyptian. 23 1/2" barrel with a bright near excellent bore. Circa: 1876. The barrel is an overall brown patina having some light silvering and pewter undertones. The frame has toned to brown smoky patina having some spots of oxidation present. The barrel is fitted with two barrel bands which have toned to a silvery brown patina . The walnut straight grip buttstock and forend rate about very good displaying dings, scratches, a few light chips along the edges. There is a cartouche on the left side of the butt. The barrel features a right side lug and bar adapter for a bayonet and included is an unmarked cleaning rod. Mechanical function is fine. Serial # 025320.
