Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are absolutely proud to offer this extreme rarity in the world of Winchester collecting. The factory special order stock with a cheek piece is one of the most seldom encountered features. Research shows that only 36 were produced. When you combine that with a deluxe XX pistol grip checkered stock, the takedown feature, half magazine,Lyman sights, dual set triggers, and wrap it up with a lightweight with 24 inch barrel and shotgun butt, odds are that this is the only such 1886 ever produced. All of these features are verified with a letter from the Cody Firearms Museum. Chambered in the potent for the era .33 WCF, she is in wonderfull condition. Made in the year of our Lord 1905, it is hard to believe this fine rifle is 116 years old. The blue is rich and deep, with some thinning on edges and carry points. The stampings are sharp and clear, including the barrel address, which did not photograph well because of the fine lettering on a round barrel. The hammer and lever retain generous amounts of case color, and the XX walnut has only the slightest of handling marks. The bore is also very good. There is some graininess, but there is plenty of shine and the lands are fairly sharp. She will take down in about 15 seconds, and lock back up tight just about as fast. The rear sight is a super deluxe Lyman combination peep, that has 2 apertures and the locking position lever. This is the kind of Winchester that only comes along once in a lifetime, and I have priced it very well in a market where 1886 deluxes are skyrocketing upward every passing year. If you are among the elite Winchester collectors, and want something none of the others have, then look no further.
