SALE PENDING! This is a very nice custom pre-64 magnum action.
Custom features are:
A new Wisner bolt for belted magnum.\
A new Wisner 3 position safety.
New, made by James Wisner custom bottom metal.
A new Wisner magnum magazine follower.
I believe James Wisner did all the modifications to the reciever, including opening the top of the reciever for a magnum cartridge. If you have ever seen one of Jame's bolts for a Mod. 70 you know what a fantastic job he did on them. In my opinion they were worth twice what he charged. It's a shame he quite making them sometime back This is one of the tightest bolts you will find in a 70. This action is opened up for a standard belted mag except the magazine allows for very long heavy bullets. Interestingly enough 404 rounds fit nicely in the magazine and feed, even though the bolt face is a standard .530 face. So open the bolt face for 404 Jeffery, do some refining and it becomes a very nice 4 in the magazine 404. The reciever has been faced of and it's ready to barrel. ( I do have a new, in the box Half Moon barrel in caliber .404 ( $350.00 ) SALE PENDING!
